Happy Mother’s Day to you!
UPDATE 5/2021: I continue to be amazed at how we as members of our small communities, and as society as a whole, remain committed to taking care of each other. The nurturing seems more genuine, purposeful, and heartfelt. It appears that even in crisis, despair, and a global pandemic, love continues to win.
I feel strongly about giving back to the community that has nurtured me and my family throughout the years. In an effort to return the love and spread some joy I am hosting a giveaway for a Complimentary Virtual Organizing Session. If you are a nurturer, a mother, a teacher, a nurse, or a caretaker of any kind, I would love for you to sign up for my giveaway. You can also nominate someone that you feel is deserving of a special moment and a little spoiling.
During this 60 minute session, the winner of the giveaway and I will discuss ways to create more room for joy in whatever area of their home that they choose. Together will strategize ways how to best use the area, discuss design elements that will maximize the space’s versatility and utility, and generate a plan on how to create MORE ROOM FOR JOY. Drawing for the winner will be held on May 17th, 2021 LIVE @ 4 pm EST so enter now for your chance to win a 60-minute session with me!
Typically on a day like this Sunday (Mother’s Day) in the US, we set out to celebrate all of the women that have given birth, about to give birth, or some variation thereof. In England, where my husband is originally from, they celebrate Mothering Sunday. I love the term “Mothering” as for me, it encapsulates a higher meaning to motherhood than just giving birth. It speaks to the art of caring, nurturing, and encouraging. It’s true that giving birth (or some variation thereof) makes you a mother, but so do a lot of other actions.
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the people that in one way or another have “Mothered” me. In one way or another, you have touched many hearts, help others to reach new heights, and have brought joy to this world. For that, I honor you today.
