A friend recently asked me how I arrived at the name for my business \”More Room For Joy\”.
My consulting business was (and still is) Christine C. Baker Marriage Consulting, however, it doesn\’t really capture the essence of the mission that I wanted to share with you.
Like many of you, I have experienced loss and grief, as we all have. One thing that my mother instilled in me was to be grateful. With any experience that I had growing up, my mother would immediately ask, \”What are you grateful for?\” I was conditioned, to always find the good in anything that happened. What that taught me as an adult, that no matter what we can always find the good or the joy in things. As we move through the struggles of our lives, we can be grateful for the lessons we are learning. From that gratitude, we can find and experience joy again.
Feeling joy is a birthright. We all deserve to feel and experience it. When we feel joy, we are able to be the best person we are meant to be. My mission is to help you achieve that and to help you create room for joy in your life. So often we deprive ourselves of feeling joy because we don\’t feel worthy, we don\’t feel like we have enough time, we feel chaotic, or have no way of knowing how to find joy. Sometimes it hard to know where to even begin. I am here to help!
Sometimes we fill our minds and our physical space with clutter which is distracting from seeing opportunities from achieving joy. It is my mission to help you create the room needed to design a joyful life.
Here is another thing I am passionate about. I am the type of person that tries to pack in as much stuff in my day, into my week and into my life as a whole as possible. I have a keen awareness that I cannot replace time and each that passes I am closer to the end of my days. I don\’t mean to be morbid but, it\’s true!
When I tune into that feeling of time passing, I get these sense that I still have so many things left to do, places to see, lessons to experience, and people to love. These things bring me JOY! I am only able to do that by managing my time effectively and efficiently.
In order to create joyful experiences, I need to make more room for it. I want to help you do the same.
